The College Board is seeking a Senior Director for Data Governance to drive the
organization’s data governance strategy, planning and execution. Data is a vital
asset at the College Board that underpins all of the services that challenge all
students to own their future. The Senior Director will be responsible for
managing the day-to-day operations of the College Board’s Data Governance Office
(DGO), which has responsibility for data policy and standards, data quality, MDM
standards and practices, and data stewardship across the organization.
The Senior Director will partner closely with the Executive Director of Data
Management, providing leadership to the DGO, which consists of a 3-5 person team
including data quality architecture, information analysts, and project
management. The DGO manages all data governance functions and bodies for the
College Board, including the Data Governance Council, the Data Stewardship
Forum, and a Data Policy Committee. The incumbent will direct the day-to-day
operations of the team, oversee the intake and prioritization of data governance
issues, lead impact analyses for large data changes, set the proactive agenda
for managing policy and quality initiatives, work across teams to support MDM
strategy, and lead a number of more specific hands-on activities.
